At 3:00 p.m. this afternoon (Hanoi time), the Vietnam People’s Army tank team will compete in the second match, qualifying round, Group 2 with the tank teams of Myanmar, South Ossetia and Qatar at the Alabino training ground.

Each participating country sends a crew, starting one at a time to pass the competition rounds and calculate competition time.

This is a `competition` between tank teams at the `Tank Biathlon` competition within the framework of the 2020 International Military Sports Festival. More than 200 soldiers from tank teams of participating countries participated.

In this competition, the Vietnamese team will use yellow tanks, while the Myanmar, Qatar, and South Ossetia teams will use blue, red, and green tanks, respectively.

The Vietnamese tank team performed impressively in the opening match on August 24.

The `Tank Marching` competition within the framework of the international military sports festival Army Games 2020 includes 16 teams divided into 2 groups, including Table 1 and Table 2.

Table 1 includes Belarus, Serbia, Azerbaijan, China, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Kyrgyzstan.

Table 2 includes Vietnam, Myanmar, Qatar, South Ossetia, Laos, Tajikistan, Congo and Abkhazia.

Teams participate in the qualifying round (Individual race) to select 8 teams with better performance to enter the semi-finals (Relay race), then continue to select 4 teams with better performance to enter the final round.

In the first match in the Group 2 qualifying round on August 24, the Vietnamese tank team reached the finish line first, completing the races in 28 minutes and 20 seconds.

However, after deducting each team’s technical errors, the referee concluded that the Vietnamese tank team ranked second with 32 minutes and 20 seconds, behind the South Ossetia team with 31 minutes and 49 seconds.

After the competition of group 1 of Group 2, the tank teams of Laos, Tajikistan, Congo and Abkhazia also competed in turn.

After South Ossetia and Vietnam, the remaining positions in Group 2 after the first match belong to Abkhazia (34 minutes 25 seconds), Myanmar (36 minutes 27 seconds), Laos (38 minutes 48 seconds), Qatar
