The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is going through an important transition period as it gradually eliminates the old generation of superheroes with newer, more youthful faces.

Although Ant-Man will continue to work with the MCU in at least one more movie project, right now, Marvel Studios is preparing an alternative for this superhero in the future.

The released trailers for Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania show that the `Ant family`, including Scott, Cassie, Hope Van Dyne, Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne, were accidentally sucked into the quantum world and temporarily

As mentioned above, Cassie Lang will not be a supporting character like in previous Ant-Man film projects.

Although she first appeared in Marvel comics in 1979, it was not until Young Avengers #6, published in 2005, that Cassie Lang officially became the superhero Stature.

Cassie went with Kate Bishop to Avengers Mansion headquarters to join the ranks of the Young Avengers.

Soon after, Cassie had the opportunity to test her abilities in real combat when the evil Kang the Conqueror attacked Avengers Mansion.

Scott Lang/Ant-Man’s powers are relatively simple, mainly thanks to his special suit that allows him to shrink or enlarge his body.

In the original, Cassie can change her body size without wearing a special suit.

As mentioned above, Cassie Lang will have a much more important role in Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania compared to the previous two Ant-Man films, when she was just a supporting character and often a source of motivation.

Cassie Lang also appeared in Avengers: Endgame in a quick scene.

Marvel Studios has chosen Kathryn Newton to replace Emma Fuhrmann for the role of Cassie Lang in Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania.

Kathryn Newton’s role in Quantumania will certainly be an emotional one, with intense struggles in the process of becoming a Stature, in addition to the guilt of leaving everyone trapped in the Quantum Realm.

As mentioned above, Cassie is one of the key members of the Young Avengers team.

Besides, after the events in Quantumania, Cassie will also be the only member of the Young Avengers to have experience confronting Kang the Conqueror – something especially important throughout the MCU’s Multiverse Saga story line.

Finally, in the original story, Stature was also the girlfriend of Iron Lad, a teenage variation of Kang who also founded the Young Avengers.

Scott Lang’s fate in Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania is still a big question mark.
