During the past two years, the war between two digital retailers, Valve and Epic, has never ended as each side has its own advantages that the other cannot yet have.

With a new title, Epic has plans to release games from the developers behind titles like The Last Guardian, Limbo and Control.

However, many developers still question the sustainability of Epic Publishing just like with Epic Game Store’s retail strategy.

Therefore, opening a publisher will probably be a new step for Epic to gain more profits when they have to completely recover costs before sharing profits with the developer.

Currently, Remedy is the most important partner producing games for Epic alongside two other developers, Gen Design and PLAYDEAD.
