Qatar is the smallest country to ever host the FIFA World Cup – the largest football tournament on the planet.

It is not easy to organize one of the world’s biggest sporting events in one of the smallest countries.

Qatar has built 7 new stadiums to host matches.

“The construction of a temporary stadium is certainly noteworthy,” said Danyel Reiche, an associate professor of political science and international relations at Georgetown University in Qatar.

The compact nature of the tournament is immediately apparent to visitors to Doha.

The distance between Russia’s World Cup arenas spans 1,500 miles – a journey as long as a full day’s train ride.

But to provide such a short journey is not easy.

Qatar is expected to welcome about 1.2 million football fans to watch the 2022 World Cup this winter, which is equal to 1/3 of Qatar’s population of 2.9 million people.

So where are these million people when they arrive in Qatar?

Qatar not only built a new stadium and a new subway system, but also built a new village.

Tourists are also staying in neighboring Persian Gulf countries such as Saudi Arabia.
